Your Role
The Manager, Consolidations will be a part of the team responsible for performing the global consolidation of the Company, facilitating the close of the accounting books and generating financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, helping with the intercompany reconciliation process and managing a team of senior accountants.
Your Role Accountabilities..
• Manages team of 3 Sr. Accountants (2 consolidations and 1 intercompany focused); including determination of work allocation, setting deadlines, review of deliverables and employee development.
• Facilitates financial close through use of systems, coordination with accounting teams around the world, and development of efficient processes through automation.
• Assists with the preparation of the company's financial statements and reporting (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, etc.), including internal, external (SEC Filings, census), and joint venture reporting.
• Provides audit and other documentation as requested from internal and external auditors (including SOX controls), Tax, Legal, Financial Planning and Analysis, etc.
• Prepares analyses for the consolidated company
• Initiates and performs maintenance and setup of the accounting chart of accounts in the ERP system
• Reviews/prepares consolidation journal entries, system reconciliations, and other ad hoc requests as necessary on a timely and accurate basis
• Works closely with the Financial Systems team to ensure proper accounting system functionality and operation while maintaining compliance with relevant financial reporting standards
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of 6 years of experience and a strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), IFRS, and SOX requirements
• Experience with the preparation of financial statements and intercompany accounting.
• BS/BA in related discipline from an accredited university
• Proficient in English
• Detailed-oriented with a strong desire to meet deadlines and other relevant performance metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Mental agility to prioritize and execute independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Not Required but preferred experience:
• Big 4 / Public accounting background
• Experience working directly with external auditors to resolve complex accounting and reporting issues
• CPA Certification
• Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP
