Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter
The newest addition to the division will be Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter (WBSTT), an indoor attraction that will invite visitors to step into the fascinating behind-the-scenes world of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World. The Studio Tour Tokyo will offer special features to enable visitors to deepen their understanding of how the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films were made. With iconic film sets to explore, costumes and props to discover and magical experiences to delight, the indoor attraction will invite visitors to enjoy scenes from the films first-hand and discover how the world's favorite book series was brought to life on screen.
Unlike a theme park, the Studio Tour will allow visitors to step into film sets and enjoy an exciting entertainment experience. This will be only the second tour of its kind in the world and will build on the hugely successful Warner Bros. Studio Tour London (WBSTL).
Covering over 960,000 Sq Feet Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter will be opening in Toshimaen in the first half of 2023.
Primary Purpose of the Job:
To Supervise the Health and Safety function for WBSJ and Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo, ensuring the legal compliance and to provide expert support across the facilities. The successful post holder will plan, supervise, and recommend safety and staff development programs with the WBSJ Management for all departments. Establishes and promotes the maintenance of a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment in cooperation and collaboration with the department leads via specialized skill set. Cooperation with Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental (HS and E) Departments in the development and implementation of policies and HS and E to promote a proactive safety culture.
Essential Job Functions:
Administration
• Overseeing WBSJ and Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo is legally compliant across all Health and Safety elements
• Overseeing all Health and Safety policies are implemented by department leads across WBSJ and Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo
• Supervise of the Health and Safety legal requirements and communicate the Health and Safety policies to management.
• Assist Audit and inspection of Health and Safety activities, to understand the site and identify daily any additional risk across WBSJ and Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo
• Reviewing the Health and Safety records for WBSJ and Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo. Working with Studio productions Health and Safety leads on new production on site.
• Overseeing compliance and audit, record keeping, working alongside the senior leadership team across WBSJ and Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo.
• Managing and the point of contact for fire safety across the WBSJ and Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo
• Working with our Health and Safety contractors
• Supervise Studio tour First aid team.
• Working with Warner Bros. employees, productions, facilities, construction and projects (Planning and Expansion)
• Lead Employee Health and Safety committee work with industrial physicians in law.
• Working with Site operation team for daily Health and safety maintenance
• Accident reporting against legal requirements.
• Communicate, advise and monitor the Company Health and Safety Policy and Strategy.
• Provide Health and safety advice to the wider business as required.
• Handling the production of Health and Safety procedures.
• Conduct Health and Safety Audit Programme.
• Assist with the production of Health and Safety training packages and their implementation.
• Review and report on accidents, accident trends and incidents to the Health and Safety Steering Committee.
• Produce and publish an annual Health and Safety compliance report.
Stock
• Develop and implement an ongoing programme of hazard identification, risk assessment and risk mitigation.
• Alongside local management, conduct on-site inspections and audits of base operations, facilities, equipment, materials and training. Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, Health, Safety and Environmental (HS and E) programs and internal policies.
People
• Organise and supervise periodical employee Safety Committee Meetings.
• Ensuring that the organisation is kept abreast with development regarding legislation and practice with regard to Health and Safety.
• Liaise with Directors, General Managers and Production teams, across the business on a regular basis to agree locations priorities and ensuring all safety requirements are being met
• All long term health, safety and environmental decisions to be referred through the General manager, Business Affairs, and International Development
• Day to day operational, and staffing issues to be discussed with the Client Services managers and Tour Experience managers.
Selection Criteria
Relevant Previous Work Experience
• Proven and demonstrable Health and Safety training skills.
• Previous Health and safety managing experiences.
• Proven HS and E communication with legal authorities. (Fire department, Labour office, City office)
• Previous experience in commissioning/delivering training courses.
• Proven hands-on approach. Go GEMBA, work on spot
• Proven experience of Health and Safety across busy multi used sites/space/environment/high volume activities.
Skills Required
• Ability to work in multi used site with high volume of activities.
• Ongoing Knowledge of legislation changes and updates
• Ability to read, analyse and interpret general business and professional periodicals, technical procedures/instructions and legislative documents Both Japanese and English.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Demonstrable ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Education/Qualifications
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• An industry recognized qualification such as the NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent EISEI KANRISYA)
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and other general computer applications.
Working Pattern:
• 37.5 hours a week working shifts.
• 1month-long variable working pattern
• Irregular working pattern such as Night time Health and Safety supervise, incident investigation or Legal requirements in case of emergency or unusual event happens
