Job Description
As a DevOps Application Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the operational excellence of our cloud-based applications. You will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing application performance, tracking cloud metrics, and developing new serverless solutions using PHP and the Symfony framework. Your work will ensure our applications are reliable, scalable, and continuously improving to meet business needs.
Your Role Accountabilities:
Cloud Metrics & Performance Tracking
• Monitor application and infrastructure metrics using cloud-native tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
• Analyze performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Generate regular reports on application health, usage, and performance for stakeholders.
Dev/Enhance/Support of Cloud-Based Serverless Applications
• Design, develop, and deploy new serverless applications using PHP and the Symfony framework.
• Partner with external vendors who design & build rapid prototypes and build out the operations model and take ownership of backend support
• Implement best practices for cloud-native development, including scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with product owners and other engineers to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business goals.
Continuous Improvement
• Automate operational tasks and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Participate in post-incident reviews and contribute to knowledge sharing and process enhancements.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Qualifications & Experiences:
Required
• 3+ years of experience in application development and/or DevOps engineering.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and the Symfony framework.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), especially serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, and performance tracking tools.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Preferred
• Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and API management.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Background in media, entertainment, or technology industries.
• Advanced skills in monitoring, logging, and security for cloud-native applications.
