Job Description
Directs and oversees all visual effects activity for the Film group. Collaborates with filmmakers and WBD departments and executives to ensure successful delivery of films. Oversees the internal department staff and the selection of visual effects supervisors/producers.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Directs all activities on assigned films for the successful execution and integration of visual effects.
• Develops and oversees VFX plans, budgets, and schedules with filmmakers, talent, and internal executives.
• Works with producers, directors, and creative, physical production, post-production executives on all VFX components from concept to delivery of film.
• Oversees and provides direction to department staff.
Oversees the hiring and supervision of VFX supervisors and VFX producers.
• Directs the negotiation of fees with vendors. Assures compliance with WBD Policies.
• Manages, overhead budget and related capital expenditures.
• Works with Finance, People & Culture and Labor Relations as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
• High school diploma required
• College Degree in related field strongly preferred
• Must have a minimum of 15 years of VFX Supervisor experience working on tentpole movies with major studios, or 15+ years of experience overseeing visual effects on feature films in a studio environment.
• Must be able to develop strong professional relationships and consensus build with filmmakers and all levels of WBD staff and executives.
• Extensive knowledge of VFX processes and the ability to creatively identify solutions to VFX problems required.
• Must have proven technical and creative sensibilities as it relates to the visual effects process.
• Must have significant working knowledge of the entire production process, from inception to delivery of a film.
• Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage.
• Knowledge of report, letter, etc. format.
• Knowledge of IATSE contract and working restrictions in designated cities.
• Management/Supervisory skills required.
• Knowledge of film, sound and tape elements.
• General Office Activities - Walking, Talking, Standing, Sitting, Typing, Finger Manipulation, Lifting, and Bending, and etc.
• Ability and willingness to travel globally.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully.
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
• Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively.
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $388,570.00 - $721,630.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
