Job Description

Our studios are considered one of the foremost motion picture and television production and post-production facilities in the world. They inform, engage, and transport audiences to new worlds. The key to that lies with our Studio Operations group, which includes areas like soundstage/backlot set rentals, events, design, culinary, construction, landscaping and much more. Your New Role...

Working closely with the Senior Electrician and the Facilities Administrators, you will ensure that the property/premises are maintained to a high standard and to always ensure safe working practises. In addition, this role is responsible for the maintenance, modification, and installation of electrical systems at WBSL. The role will primarily be based at the Leavesden site but from time to time you may be required to work off site.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Monitor completion of tasks ensuring highest standards of work.
• Monitor H&S compliance, such as correct PPE being worn, as per the H&S at Work Act and WBSL H&S Policy.
• Reporting progress and updates via all media outlets provided.
• Ensure that the sites electrical and mechanical equipment are looked after in such a way as to maintain continuous operation and legal compliance.
• Adhere to work methodology within the team.
• Operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems via the BMS.
• Carry out small installation works and modifications to existing systems.
• Fault finding, ensuring satisfactory fault rectification.
• Undertaking general maintenance tasks and survey inspections including areas at height.
• Audit and review of all stock levels and report to the Senior Electrician any required orders.
• Ensure all maintenance activities and procedures adhere to applicable H&S legislation, policies, and best practise guidelines.
• Provide assistance and direction to contractors employed within the studio.
• Provide out of hours electrical cover for all WB clients.

Qualifications & Experience...
• Be standards driven and detailed orientated.
• Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of dynamic risk assessing activities being undertaken.
• Must hold a full UK driving license.
• Fully qualified 'Approved Electrician' with AM2 and City & Guilds 236-2 or equivalent.
• BS7671 17th/18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations Accreditation.
• Electricity Supply Regulations Awareness.
• Electricity at Work act awareness.
• JIB/ECS card.
• 2391 inspecting and testing would be advantageous.
• Proof of certification will be required.

Working Pattern...

You will be required to work a 40 hour week in a rota formation, working hours varying between 7am and 7pm. You will also be required to work evenings and weekends in line with the operating hours of the studio and the studio tour. There will be a requirement to respond to emergencies in and out of normal working hours to provide cover for all WB clients. You will be required to work some bank holidays.

Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a purpose built, state-of-the-art film and television studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. This 200-acre secure site has half a million square feet of stage space, production offices and workshops together with an exterior filming tank, one of the largest indoor heated underwater filming tanks in Europe and a 100 acre back-lot. WBSL has some of the largest sound stages in the UK and is proving to be a very popular facility for production clients.

WB Leavesden Park, adjacent to the Studio, offers modern and flexible office space for Production Companies. The site also has its own, onsite Set Lighting & Rigging rental division, which provides the industry with state-of-the-art lighting equipment, scaffolding and production supplies for stage and location shoots. WB De Lane Lea based in Soho, London, provides state of the art facilities in audio post-production for feature films and television.

WBSL also have an onsite childcare facility available to WB employees, onsite productions called The WonderWorks and Zone10 - an onsite gym facility to support the physical and mental wellbeing of all our employees.

These facilities make Warner Bros. Entertainment the only Hollywood studio to own and operate a production and post-production facility in the UK.
