The Job
This leader will take a proactive and influential approach to data storytelling across our league properties NHL/US Soccer/The Match. The role will include key partnerships with league research counterparts and delivery of linear, digital, and social insights to key internal stakeholders to drive consumer engagement and business value. Director will provide view of league property performance, utilizing media analytics, primary research, and custom data solutions. Insights to be used by public relations (external and internal messaging), programming, marketing, sales and product groups. Director will lead a team in supporting future capabilities across Turner Sports league properties and platforms.
The Daily
Partner with senior leadership to evaluate and align with strategic priorities
Effectively lead a large team of insights personnel to their greatest potential
Provide insights to Turner Sports leadership for key business decisions
Partner and collaborate with insights peers across Warner Bros Discovery and league partners
Provide budget management and financial oversight
Lead efforts to implement best in class processes and capabilities including stakeholder presentations and data storytelling
Proactively create and define future analytics capabilities to support multi-platform, multi-property approach
The Essentials
10+ years of experience in data analysis and insights
Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
5+ years of hiring and managing analytics teams
Ability to communicate data and analysis thru verbal and visual design
Knowledge of the sports, media or entertainment industry
A highly motivated self-starter
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Looker, Omniture, Google Analytics or similar tools
Partner service orientation
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Business, Marketing, Statistics or related quantitative discipline required
Master's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, information science, or related field preferred
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $94,150.00 - $174,850.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
