Job Description


The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure IT services and projects including all application systems, all software and IT infrastructure are delivered to Japan country business, in line with local business needs, and the agreed contractual agreements with third party service providers.

It's expected that this role will have a good experience of working as the local head of IT organization of international companies managing both application systems and IT infrastructures including networking.

Potentially support and help for IT services and projects in wider APAC territories will be expected as a part of International IT resource in conjunction with International IT team.



Ensuring all IT Service Provision in line with Japan business needs
• Local IT governance with Japan management team
• To act as the escalation points for the Japan business if service delivery is impacting the business
• Ensure local business to comply with IT standard and CSO requirements and also support exception requests
• Application Systems
• Desktop/Intranet/Internet Software
• Local web sites
• • Management of on the ground activities required for IT service or project delivery
• Provide solutions and support for Japan local business demand
• Communicate key IT events (changes, issues, projects and new service) to the local employees
• Provide any on hands assistance, that would require an onsite business analysis , e.g. requirements capturing, reviewing proposals with business, reviewing testing results.
• Introduce or train new IT skills like as Zoom, Email migration or Domain Migrations


Business Application Support (Monetization Systems)
• MACCS – Theatrical Business System – work with UK app team
• Mediamorph – Digital Delivery Revenue Recognition – support Japan and Korea users
• CAS/Material Master of Home Entertainment of SAP
• Lakeside Interface with Universal – work with Universal IT and WB Home Ent IT
• POS-Slicer / Local Big Data Collection using AI & Robots
• Extract all nationwide screening schedules
• Extract DD POS from all local DD licensees
• Control and support the support vender – CSO, server team, account admin, yearly & ad hoc contract
• Japan Theatrical Title DB / WEB Report on AWS
• Control the support vendor – CSO, AWS, account admin, yearly & ad hoc contract
• CRMi – Support Application for Digital Delivery by Salesforce


Enterprise Application Support
• APAC eLeave Tool – Yearly Leave approval for L-WB APAC employee (will be migrated to workday in 2023)
• BizStation (Internet banking for WB and WB Studio Tour) – Account Management (Creation under SOD confirmation)
• Time and Attendance JP/Labor management for WB Japan – help CSO compliance
• Red Carpet – Work space and Conference room reservation


Manage and support local onsite techs coworking with their direct reports in Singapore
• Daily meeting
• Support and escalation of critical issues
• Share Global IT changes, infra issues


Network Support / Reconstructions
• Support daily network issues in Tokyo office and VPN
• Network configuration/cabling with the global Network Team
• Vendor control – network lines / network devices / servers


M365 & Office Software Support
• Email / M365
• Box & Adstream
• SharePoint management for local contents
• Shared Drive – local owner to control users access


Mobile Phone Management
• Manage the rules for use, the guidance and the usage
• Vendor management

Work Experience
• 7-10 years of experience in an IT leadership role, managing a technical area, preferably in the application development and maintenance area
• Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience
• Must have demonstrated success in an executive leadership role.
• Must be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructions
• Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned
• Native Japanese and English business level
