Your New Role…

The Director, Finance will help lead the budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting activities for the Warner Bros. Discovery Content Licensing group which is responsible for all SVOD, Cable, Pay, Syndication, and Airlines sales of film and television product in the US & Canada. The Director will supervise the Manager, Finance to build and maintain financial models, budgets, rolling forecasts, and management reporting. The Director will also partner with sales executives to provide financial analysis for sales planning and key decision making for sales proposals and new ventures.

Your Role Accountabilities…

Corporate Planning and Budgeting:
• Responsible for weekly budget tracking, monthly financial updates, quarterly forecasts, quarterly financial close analysis, annual budgets and long-term planning.
• Oversees preparation of detailed variance analyses and other materials for senior management presentations and corporate financial packages.
• Provides support to the GBS team for monthly and quarterly closes to ensure all appropriate deals are accrued and that actuals align with current forecasts.
• Support business unit and corporate FP&A teams (e.g., WB FP&A, LOB, shared services) by being a point of contact for information requests, issues, and questions.
• Manage the sister company reporting process including all deliverables and requests for forecast information from the HBO, HBO Max, and Turner teams.

Sales Planning and Financial Analysis:
• Manages preparation of forecasting models and sales analytics for Film and Television packages, including output deals, package pricing analyses, and new business analyses/valuations. Presents findings to senior level executives, including President, Content Sales and EVP, Content Licensing.
• Works closely with sales executives to proactively identify risks and opportunities and to track potential deals at all stages of the sales process
• Creates weekly sales activity reports and maintains ongoing budget tracking, including forecasting of revenue upsides/downsides based on triggers (Box Office results, Network Television pickups, avail timing).

Ultimates:
• Leads the compilation of the monthly/quarterly Ultimates, including tracking of revenue against estimates.
• Responsible for the submission of consolidated information and variance explanations to WB FP&A while being compliant with SOX requirements.

Special projects, ad hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience…

BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, or related field required
• MBA preferred
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in finance or media related field required with a focus on strategic planning and analysis
• Prior experience in Television Distribution/Sales preferred
• Previous experience with executive management presentations preferred
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Previous knowledge and experience with software systems preferred
• Must possess excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
• Strong technical spreadsheet applications experience, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
• Heavy financial analysis and excel modeling preferred
• Must be comfortable working with changing priorities and able to balance multiple tasks
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise financial models and presentations for senior executives and management
• Ability to work with senior level management
• Must be a team player with the ability to work with staff at all organizational levels across various business units
• Must be a motivated self-starter with a strong attention to detail and strong follow through skills
• Must have the ability to work well under deadline pressures and work independently
• Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively to manage staff workload and deadlines
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including additional hours, as necessary

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $130,675.00 - $242,681.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
