Job Description
The Director role is the primary support to the SVP BD & Commercial Strategy efforts to develop and drive growth strategies across the CNN portfolio. The position will also support the office of the COO, CNN driving the broader operations of the business.
Critical that a candidate is a self starter, who can thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, working on multiple projects with tight timelines. Candidate must be comfortable operating in a fast-evolving team and ready to take on new challenges based on the needs of the business.
CNN Strategic Planning
• Partner with CNN leadership to build strategic vision and oversee implementation and execution high priority commercial initiatives
• Drive operational connectivity across company - both CNN & WBD (Finance, Marketing, Legal etc…) supporting area experts, driving collaboration and project plans
• Communication of status updates of CNN's commercial initiatives to senior leadership
• Presentation and modeling support for CNN leadership in collaboration with CFO's team to support long term business planning
Development of New Business Opportunities (e.g. partnerships, expansion into complementary businesses)
• Identify commercial opportunities that support CNN goals by closely following industry trends and collaborating with business leaders across CNN
• Support the strategic planning process including commercial modeling, presentation work and effective communication
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Drives strategic planning and implementation
• Support the development of new business opportunities (e.g. partnerships, expansion into complementary businesses)
• Responsible for driving organization and efficiency in daily workflow
• Financial modeling and technical business case evaluation
• Prepares presentation materials to support SVP and senior leadership
• Maintains strong inter-company relationships
• Other duties as required
Qualifications & Experience…
• Minimum 8 years of work experience in strategic planning, business development / operations, or related media & entertainment field - Ideal candidate will have experience working in digital operations
• Experience working in a complex stakeholder environment
• Experience preparing complex operating models in support of strategic initiatives
• Experience managing complex stakeholder groups and driving strategic objectives
• MBA degree preferred.
• Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet various deadlines.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong research and analytical skills required.
• Knowledge of media landscape and trends required.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $136,570.00 - $253,630.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
