Your New Role…
We are looking for a Digital Editor to be responsible for the written content production and site, section, photo, graphical & data management of the WBD Sports platforms website and apps, overseeing our daily news and feature output, developing original, engaging formats, and amplifying them across our UK & International English Language dotcom editions.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• The role will span all the elements of written output; news, features, live text commentary, analysis, and beyond
• Responsible for amplifying written, video & data output across web & app
• Monitoring our automated sports statistics services to ensure issues are rapidly spotted and dealt with
• Ensure a 360-degree, complementary digital ecosystem that facilitates and encourages audience engagement on every channel and ultimately works to promote and sit comfortably alongside our premium DTC watch experiences
• Work closely with linear production heads and the central digital team
Qualifications & Experience…
• A proven track record within an editorial team, creative agency or digital content operation (Experience as a member of a content or creative team would be advantageous)
• Highly creative with a strong attention to detail
• A strong and current perspective on key digital and media trends in the market landscape
• Knowledge of processes, platforms and tools to deliver cutting-edge, data-driven content
• Strong proactivity, collaboration and communication skills; Taking initiative and working without supervision
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast moving matrix environment and to deliver multiple projects to budget and deadline
• Flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to fill multiple roles seamlessly when rota demands dictate
• Evening & weekend work and occasional travel will be required
• Multi-language ability is a bonus
