Job Description
The Creative Associate is responsible for leading the clearance process and organization of WB assets to help grow the CP business, with a focus on trading cards.
Under the supervision of the Director, Creative & Product Development, this person will work with several intercompany stakeholders and licensees to oversee all stages of clearance from identifying merchandisable images to supervising required creative and legal modifications to uploads to the digital asset library.
Job Responsibilities:
• Meets with internal & external business leads to understand product strategy and help deliver with asset needs
• Gathers asset information and submits images through internal systems and departments to get multiple stakeholder approvals
• Manages upload into digital asset systems with appropriate metadata details
• Audits existing digital assets for removal or updates
• Understands design, color, typography, production process, development timelines, and sample/final product execution
• Follows best practices implemented and shared across all areas
• Manages and owns Creative PD process which includes but not limited to, communication and update with licensees, give design feedback, review product submissions, and legal clearance
• Ensures all brand guidelines and legal guidelines for all artwork and product submissions are followed prior to upload in the digital system
• Communicates clearly and partners with all internal teams, ie. BA, franchise, legal, category, to ensure proper feedback
• Creates and manages new editorial for product development
• Works closely with Director, Creative & Product Development to find fresh, compelling designs and new ideas that meet the business needs and aligns with strategies
• Manages project timelines which includes but not limited to asset development, licensees feedback, and approvals review
Work Experience:
• 3-5 years' experience in product design and or graphic design
Education:
• BA, BFA or 2 years Technical College in a design discipline preferred
Knowledge/Skills:
• Ability to clearly communicate and present vision and ideas
• Ability to own and drive projects from beginning to end
• Team player and collaborative
• Ability to identify challenges and propose solutions
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Must be a self-starter with a tenacious attitude and a strong work ethic
• Knowledge/awareness of competitive businesses
• Advanced skills working with Illustrator and Photoshop, and InDesign
• Additional computer skills, include InDesign, Word, Excel and Power Point/Keynote
• Licensing business model experience is a plus
