Job Description
We are looking for a Corporate Data Architect who will have a vital role in shaping our corporate data architecture to support our digital transformation initiatives. Your responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain data solutions that meet the requirements of different business units and stakeholders.
Role Accountabilities:
Data Modeling and Design:
• Design scalable and efficient corporate data models on conceptual and logical levels that cater to the needs of diverse business functions while ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance. Contribute to the Enterprise Data Model Development.
• Oversee the integration of data from multiple sources, including internal systems, external APIs, and third-party vendors.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and needs to introduce them in corporate data models
Data Governance and Standards:
• Establish data Architecture frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure consistent data management practices across the organization.
• Maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, including data flows, data dictionaries, and system dependencies.
• Play a role in data quality assurance practices to ensure data quality and governance across the architecture.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance and drive innovation in data architecture practices.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and data engineers, to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members and stakeholders on data architecture best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
Educational Background:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
• In-depth knowledge of data modeling principles, data warehousing concepts, and database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, etc.).
• Working knowledge of cloud solutions, preferably with a focus on AWS
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and industry best practices.
• Understand the organization's business processes and goals in digital environment.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Experience:
• Proven experience (minimum of 3 to 5 years) as a Data Architect, Data Engineering, or similar role in a corporate setting, preferably within a digital environment.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and executing data architecture projects from conception to implementation.
• Hands-on experience with a wide range of data technologies and platforms, including both relational and non-relational databases, data warehousing solutions, ETL tools, and cloud-based data services, particularly AWS.
• Experience with regulatory compliance requirements and data security best practices.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Collaboration:
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, and technical experts.
