Job Description

Your New Role...

Assists Executive Editor and Editor in creation, development, and maintenance of DC Comics, Gotham Group.

Your Role Accountabilities...
• Assists Executive Editor and Editor with creation and development of DC new print and/or digital comics lines.
• Edits minimum three books, under Editor or Executive Editor supervision. Copyedits and proofreads books to ensure accuracy.
• Assists Editors in maintaining story continuity.
• Identifies and recommends potential talent and maintains relationships with current talent.
• Other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience...

Work Experience
• 2+ years related experience as assistant editor or above

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
• College degree or equivalent experience required

Knowledge/Skills
• Knowledge of comic book industry strongly preferred.
• Copyediting and proofreading skills preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines required.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing required.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel.
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to details.
• Must have the ability to organize.
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints.
• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Must have the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple project elements simultaneously
• Knowledge of core Comic Book mythologies and terminology
• Knowledge of art, ability to discuss composition, color, and design required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in MS Office/outlook or Mac equivalent
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite, primarily Photoshop.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $37,521.00 - $69,682.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
