Your New Role

The WBD Global Content team plays a central role in the coordination of the content finance narrative. The team accomplishes this by analyzing content ROI, partnering with content finance owners, ensuring financial standards and guardrails are maintained within the business unit and providing insights and recommendations to leadership to support decision making.

The analyst will support team objectives by developing a strong understanding of the business and industry and using this knowledge to provide financial analysis related to the company's content. The primary responsibilities for the analyst will include but are not limited to the calculation, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for HBOMAX titles, as well as the generation of content ultimates to inform the greenlighting/ROI process.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Creation and analysis of ultimate revenue and ultimate program and participation/residual costs in budgets, forecasts and long-term plans through trending of historical data and knowledge of company and business drivers (i.e. slate and deal information) or overall industry trends
• Maintain and evaluate Gross-to-Net title profitability models to support FP&A and the C-Suite in the greenlighting/ROI, production and participation deal-making process
• Consolidation, reporting and analysis (vs prior forecasts/budgets/LRPs/prior year) of by-title program amortization and content profits for P&L Forecasts, Budgets and Long-Range Plans
• Analyze audience ratings data to support accounting policies and ROI dashboards; coordinate SOX documentation and testing of controls
• Responsible for maintaining accrual-based participation models; Coordinate with Business Affairs to interpret contracts and ensure models reflect the latest participant deal terms
• Perform ad hoc deal and slate sensitivities to support Senior Management in evaluating strategic business decisions
• Key liaison between personnel of all levels from teams across WBD such as Consolidations, Programming, Distribution, Business Affairs, Strategy, Audience Research and IT
• Responsible for maintenance of the system with IT, including testing, upgrades and enhancements to Hyperion or TM1 systems. Proactively build out new excel tools, IT systems and processes to support the consolidation and analysis of content profits and slate information to optimize internal efficiencies

Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of 1-2 years prior work experience in private and/or public accounting, finance, FP&A, consulting or banking. Media/entertainment industry experience a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related area preferred.
• CPA or MBA a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Excellent written/oral communication and financial presentation skills
• Excellent financial modeling and Excel skills
• Strategic thinker and problem solver with high attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced changing environment
• Financial database experience a plus (e.g., Oracle EBS, SAP S4, Hyperion, IBM TM1)

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $54,600.00 - $101,400.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
