Job Description
The Financial Analyst - Theatrical FP&A will support forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for Warner Bros. Discovery Studios. Working closely with business finance counterparts, you will assist in gathering inputs and understanding key performance drivers. This role offers an opportunity to build strong foundational skills in FP&A while helping provide the financial insights necessary for business decision-making.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Support the preparation of preliminary forecasts for studio meetings and month-end reporting.
• Assist in reconciling actual results versus prior forecasts, budgets, and prior year, and help prepare variance analysis to explain performance.
• Collaborate with the FP&A team to help develop forecasts, budgets, and long-range financial plans.
• Contribute to evaluating the financial impact of strategic decisions under review.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and respond to financial data requests by delivering accurate and insightful information.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial data and analysis to the FP&A team.
• Help build strong working relationships with business partner FP&A teams to ensure effective information sharing.
• Participate in the development and improvement of tools, systems, and processes that support forecasting and analysis.
• Work closely with other FP&A teams to drive process simplification and share best practices.
• Join meetings with business finance partners to understand key forecast drivers and present relevant analysis and data.

Qualifications & Experience…
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, financial operations, or other relevant analytical business roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (required).
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with formulas, pivot tables, and charts; experience with financial modeling is a strong advantage.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify problems, analyze data, and support the development of actionable insights.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly, both in writing and verbally, to support decision-making processes.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and build trust with internal team members and business stakeholders.
• Comfortable working with large datasets in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar) is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications…
• Solid understanding of the entertainment business.
• Strong accounting knowledge.
• Experience with Essbase, SAP, and Tableau.
