Job Description
Your New Role

Assisting the music department (Director and Vice President, Music/Legal) by facilitating timely clearance and reporting of all music and sound design uses and costs in audiovisual materials for marketing and publicity in connection with Warner Bros. Theatrical Marketing, Home Entertainment, and HBO Max Originals.

Your Role Accountabilities
• At the direction of the Director, reviews and tracks work-in-progress trailers, TV spots, digital content, promotional assets, and ancillary materials for musical content, clearance status and cost
• Interfaces with Director, VP, post-production finishing teams, creative teams, digital teams, creative vendors, WB Music, home entertainment, media (linear/digital), and HBO Max to track materials at each stage of music clearance through licensing and payment
• Assists the Director in managing communications with external creative agencies and stakeholders with respect to cue sheets, audio assets, and cue replacements
• Facilitates communication with outside clearance consultants to ensure timely music clearances
• At the direction of the Director, assists in the researching of rightsholders for music and sound design copyrights and recordings
• Facilitates timely distribution of music assets to and from creative vendors and internal departments, as well as helps to provide routine maintenance of internal music repositories and databases (BOX)
• Executes timely reporting of clearances, costs, and licensing status to various internal departments and external partners
• Assists the contract accounting department to resolve licensing and contract accounting issues
• Supports the monitoring of internal music budgets and registers
• Assists with marketing campaign licensing audits to ensure all cues are properly cleared, licensed and paid
• Tracks and coordinates music clearances for AV materials finishing in real-time, frequently after-hours
• Ensures timely input of data into the music team's internal music clearance software (Qwire)
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience
• 1-2 years relevant experience
• Computer skills: Proficient in PC/Mac operating systems, office productivity suites (strong excel preferred), filesharing and collaborative work applications (Box, SharePoint, OneDrive). Basic understanding of digital audio formats and secure asset delivery
• Passionate about music. Self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Ability to handle a high volume of detail-oriented work in a quick and efficient manner
• Ability to quickly re-prioritize concurrent work and processes in response to changing and sometimes-conflicting instructions, needs, and deadlines
• Ability to maintain, evaluate, and continuously refine systems and processes as part of a larger team
• Ability to exercise discretion and communicate succinctly, effectively, and tactfully with all levels of management, creative vendors, and licensors
• Maintain and foster good working relationships with internal departments, creative vendors, consultants, and licensors
• Basic understanding of music licensing (specifically synchronization) and the parties involved: performing rights associations, writers/publishers, artists/labels

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $39,210.00 - $72,819.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
