The Job

The Accounting Jr. analyst is responsible for the month-end close tasks related to the Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E) area. Prepare and book simple manual journal entries. Prepare supporting documents and files and keep evidence of controls made while posting those entries. Analyze activity and transactions of assigned segments. Prepare monthly reconciliations for those segments. Collaborate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reporting process in the duties assigned by the Accounting Supervisor.

The Daily – Major Activities
• • Perform asset additions, adjustments, transfers, retirements, and accelerated depreciation process. Project migrations from Project Costing (PC) to Asset Management (AM). Prepare simple manual entries General Ledger (accruals and reclasses) and its respective supporting documents, keeping evidence of control and approval of the respective appropriated levels. Annual Assets Review process. (50%)
• Prepare monthly reconciliation of assigned segments. Identify improvement areas in the supporting files and documents used to back up those reconciliations in Cadency Certification. Suggest those changes to the Accounting Supervisor. (30%)
• Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for financial corporate use (CPR Schedules). To assist Accounting Supervisor and other team members to cover any information request for internal (SOX-Internal Audit-GBS Management) or external (Auditors, Tax, Legal, or Statutory) filing purposes. (20%)

The Essentials
• • University student of Accounting/Administration/Finance.
• Experience in accounting/similar positions (1 year).
• Fluent in English.
• Teamwork skills and collaboration
• Ability to adapt to dynamic and uncertain environments (flexibility and prioritization).
• Proactivity and accountability.
• Proficient in Excel and other MS tools.
• Abilities to develop interpersonal relationships.

The Nice to Haves
• • Experience in Shared Business Services centers.
• Experience in Media Industry, Big Four firms, or global companies.
• Experience in SAP/PSOFT or other ERP systems
• Experience in Hyperion, SmartView, Oracle, and other database tools.
