Job Description
Accountant, Management Reporting/Financial Analysis (Part-Time)

Primary Purpose of Position:

The Accountant is responsible for supporting the Co-MD in timely and accurate analysis and reporting of financial information and forecasting for all the Companies within the Warner Bros. ITVP New Zealand, so as to be presented to Management and Head Office.

Position Responsibilities

Accounting / Production Accounting
• Preparation of inputs to monthly close process for review by Co-MD/CFO
• Extracting general ledger information from company's accounting systems.
• Posting appropriate month and year-end adjustments.
• Posting internal charges
• Support Co-MD in financial reporting of the slate and correct revenue recognition for production and other revenues, including preparation & maintenance of slate funding templates.
• Completion of slate production reporting templates.
• Act as bank & payroll signatory
• Support Co-MD/CFO in oversight & coordination of activities of production accountants & production finance activities
• Ensure production cost reporting and budgeting processes are up to date and follow policy
• Acts as SME (subject matter expert) for Just Produce
• Assist with management and reconciliation process between the Just Produce & SAP accounting systems.
• Support quarterly balance sheet reviews with local F&A team, including liaising with Co-MD on commercial ownership on assumptions behind balance sheet positions
• Assist the Head of Finance ANZ with compiling the year end financial statements and audit.
• Assist Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable with accounting treatment and processing requirements
• Updating financial statements for internal company requirements

Production Budgeting
• Assist Production Staff with Production Budgets
• Assist with interface into internal systems
• Overhead & Personnel budgets
• Production Capital Expenditure budgeting

Forecasting & Reporting
• Preparation & consolidation of draft monthly management report for Co-MD/CFO review
• Completion of quarterly forecasting templates for review with Co-MD & Management team in ITVPHQ London; Slate, Model (including COC/variance analysis)
• Prepare forecast materials & update slate and communicate to Snr management team, including supporting Co-MD in:
• Preparation of programme slate & any supporting slate funding templates
• Preparation of labour template & recoveries planning assumptions
• Preparation of forecasting model
• Responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting of financial performance of the NZ entities under US GAAP and WBITVP Accounting Policies/Guidance.
• SAP BW Reporting & Analysis as needed to support close process review & sign off (P&L's gross profit's & film asset/WIP reports), management reporting and cash forecasting.
• Capital expenditure forecasting including preparation of Corporate capital expenditure approval submission templates and inclusion of business cases

Cash Forecasting & Reporting
• Manage cashflow activities
• Support accurate & timely cashflow forecasting per ITVP/Corporate requirements
Other
• Providing ad-hoc accounting, financial analysis, and forecasting or reporting as needed
• Providing Weekly, Monthly and Ad hoc reports on particular projects, identifying issues, follow-up and reporting – including reporting to outside parties who hold an equity interest in projects.
• Act as stand in for Co-MD/CFO for review queries from Business Partner when needed

Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with strong skills in reporting. A keen knowledge of accounting would be beneficial, as well as the following soft skills:

• Communication skills
• Microsoft Office

In addition
• Television or Film Production Accounting a bonus
• Knowledge of SAP and/or Just Produce production accounting software bonus
• As this role oversees critical data for a company, a candidate's mathematical abilities and business knowledge will be integral due to the breadth of financial information they will oversee.
