Broadcast IT Engineer - WABI

Job Summary/Description:

WABI-TV in Bangor, Maine is seeking a full-time Broadcast IT Engineer to assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of IT and broadcast systems.

Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Install, configure, and maintain broadcast equipment and broadcast/office computer systems
- Manage user accounts
- Assist employees with desktop and broadcast systems issues
- Apply system patches/updates and perform regular system backups
- Create and maintain system documentation
- Work with the corporate IT and Technology Teams to install, configure and implement hardware and software as required
- Assist with facility maintenance
- Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
- A degree in electronics, computer science or related experience is required
- Broadcast engineering, IT or operations experience is a plus
- Experience working with Windows servers, Active Directory, Windows and Mac operating systems and hardware, VMWare, networking, network switches, NAS devices, VOIP phone systems, MS Office applications, and backup/recovery software is preferred
- Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations
- Must be available to work nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Regular on-call shifts for after-hours support are required
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, team player with excellent communication skills
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
