Senior Editor, Golf (Temporary)

We're looking for a Senior Editor to join the SB Nation Team within Vox Media to cover golf. As a member of the SB Nation Team you'll be responsible for providing coverage for all golf content, ranging from the major tournaments to lifestyle and other elements of golf. The Golf Editor will manage and edit other golf writers' stories as well. The ideal candidate is someone that has experience writing about sports and a strong knowledge of golf. The Senior Editor will report to our Associate Director.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Provide coverage for all golf content while also manage and edit other golf writers stories
• Produce pristine copy as well as edit to the SB Nation Style Guide
• Develop and execute plans for the season, including major events
• Provide expert analysis and will also help execute daily content plans, including basic SEO stories
• Ensure all content aligns with SB Nation's editorial standards
• Collaborate with other staff to brainstorm strong ideas for golf coverage

WHO YOU ARE

The ideal candidate for Senior Editor Golf has:
• At least 5 years of experience writing/editing golf content
• Deep understanding of golf and expert level knowledge of the sport
• Able to generate story ideas and assign stories
• Experience managing other writers and worked closely with Social teams
• Experience prioritizing stories in a way that aligns with the business strategy
• Communicates clearly and efficiently with others on the team and is able to lead and mentorFamiliar with the AP Style Guide and has experience producing content in a fast-paced environment
• Well versed in SEO best practices and able to quickly/concisely produce headlines for search
• Strong collaboration skills, bringing passion and enthusiasm to our hold coverage

This job is remote. PAY TRANSPARENCY

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.

Pay Range

$88,000 — $90,000 USD
