Position Overview
What you'll do:
• Build bespoke go-to-market sales materials by network/brand/product category for potential manufacturers and retailers
• Prepare brand licensing strategy positioning statements, memos and docs
• Coordinate with design/creative teams the building of visual identity assets by product and category
• Communicate/collaborate regularly with internal stakeholders (editorial, marketing, design, insights, data, etc) to exchange information and to maintain brand alignment
...and as partners come on board
• Oversee creative kickoffs and preliminary marketing strategy sessions
• Manage product development process, including
• cross-functional access to and review of submissions
• communications to manufacturers and retailers
...and as products come to market
• Assist in the preparation of promotional strategies by product segment and support the implementation with cross-functional partners
• Activate promotional campaigns with relevant cross-functional partners
What you'll bring:
• Familiarity with the brand licensing business, branded product development, manufacturing supply chain, retail distribution
• A product- and retail-forward approach to brand licensing
• Strong initiative, collaborative skills and the ability to build consensus, overcome obstacles, and get things done quickly
• Ability to be nimble and agile, and to handle high volume, fast-paced workflows
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A high degree of emotional intelligence, empathy, compassion, and a sense of humor
• Strategic thinking and a can-do, solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to multi-task and thrive while juggling many projects at once
• Passion about Vox Media's editorial brands
