Rigging Department Lead
Job Description:
The Rigging Department Lead will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, fulfilling, and checking in all Volt rigging and chain motor assets. This position requires strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. This role will be responsible for establishing the safety standards, internal training of best practices with our staff, and the packaging of Volt rigging assets. Volt is a fast paced and rapidly evolving environment that requires accurate results to be produced in a timely and efficient manner. The candidate should have 2 to 3 years entertainment rigging experience, preferably in a warehouse setting or 3 to 5 years lighting/rigging shop experience. This is a full time, non-exempt, at will position. The Rigging Department Lead reports directly to the Shop Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
● Ability to lift up to 70 lbs unassisted
● Navigate key software programs for tracking inventory, repairs, order fulfillment, and check in
● Maintain a clean and organized space that is legible to outside departments
● Keen eye for detail through inspection of truss, rigging hardware, chain motors
● Excellent interpersonal skills in both written and verbal communication
● Mechanical aptitude to learn best practices with maintaining and QC of chain motors
● Ability to accurately track and fulfill Outbound and Inbound orders
● Fundamental knowledge base of common use cases for chain hoists, distros, and rigging accessories
● Eager and willing learner and teacher
● Meticulous record keeping of service logs and routine certification schedules
● Ability to support in house rigging inquiries - Non show/production related
● Support internal hardware builds for custom rigging and positioning pieces - ie torms, plates, etc
● Other duties as assigned
