Power BI Analyst

**This role will have a hybrid work environment that requires person to work in our Burbank, CA office up to 50% of the time. Local Candidates Only ** 

The Power BI Data Analyst identifies, captures, organizes and manages all data sources for the purpose of tracking Internal/External KPI reporting and for providing insights to improve tracking and decision-making. The role of the Power BI Data Analyst requires a thorough understanding of data analytics, data integration, data modeling, database API connections, and Power BI. This position Interfaces with internal customers to define requirements, evaluate and continually enhance deliverables, and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Building Analysis Services reporting models
• Design, build, and deliver custom KPI reports and dashboards using data from Power BI desktop and other platforms
• Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence
• Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals
• Perform requirements gathering and system analyses; identify, formulate, and source internal and/or external solutions to address business needs.
• Serve as conduit between internal stakeholders and reporting systems
• Internally manage client KPI’s such as Netflix, iTunes, LEGO, et al.
• Coordinate and consult with other departments to properly develop KPI reports, to obtain relevant departmental business information
• Troubleshoot and resolve any data or technical issues related to information, reports, and/or dashboards.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Must have 2-3 years of experience in Data Analytics, KPI Reporting or similar role
• Knowledge in Microsoft Power BI and Power BI Stack
• Grip over data analytics
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Software development skills, a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree or sufficient equivalent
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience gathering requirements and delivering information solutions
• SQL Server skills including SQL objects development, performance tuning, data analysis, and integration
• Experience building high level data decks for presentations
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening, and presentation skills
• Able to work in a team setting as well as individually
• Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set
• Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards
• Very good communication skills must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with the client teams, and with internal teams

Physical Demands:

• Continual computer keyboard and monitor use while sitting to perform desk-related work for extended periods of time.

• Position may require employee to be available to work overtime, depending on the Company service requirements
• Position may require employee to be available to work 8 hours a day and 5 days a week, depending on the Company scheduling requirements
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
