Description and Requirements:
This role will be responsible for leading the Project Management Office function for the Technology department. The role has the opportunity to establish new global processes for our expanding business and team and be the driver for the overall project management function across the entire company. Acts as a key liaison point for the Technology department and services and ensures cohesion with peers in the wider VDMS organization. The position is also a focal point for effective project delivery services, process and policy definition. Good client relationships and high levels of client trust and satisfaction are key, as is the adherence to global delivery standards to ensure consistency and quality. This role will ensure that teams maintain project metrics to drive transparency in project and program tracking. Based on client and department needs, this role will actively anticipate, shape and articulate client demand and communicate technology strategy, services and projects.
This position will provide a holistic view of the projects and services for Technology department and business units. It will also formulate, implement, and facilitate effective communication plans, reduce duplication of effort, handle risk, and provide a consolidated view of all the projects within their respective area, while validating that the investments are hitting targeted return on investments.
Position is responsible for ensuring appropriate management, customer and vendor involvement throughout the life of the associated operations and projects. Position ought to be able to lead change and take active leadership in timely decision-making. In addition, identify issues enthusiastically, resolve raised conflicts, and work across the organization to execute the respective projects and operations.
Responsibilities:
Define and implement core Project Management Office functions, including but limited to change control and project reporting.
Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
Lead, monitor, and motivate different teams across the company and interact with staff at all levels in the organization
Responsible for identifying, clarifying, and communicating the vision(s) and/or objective(s) of projects and show how they fall in place with, enhance, or inhibits such vision(s) and/or objective(s)
Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables
Leading multiple teams through the entire lifecycle of project
Maintaining budget, billing, invoices and overall finances of the project
Organizing regular team meetings, workshops, and training for all personnel related to the project
Resolve due date related issues to ensure projects stay aligned to communicated deadlines
Maintain an awareness of Visual Data’s culture and ensure that we are working towards the company’s core values and mission statement
Requirements
3-5+ years Project Management in a technical capacity
3+ years of project management within the post-production or media distribution industry preferred
Excellent working knowledge and understanding of relevant IT applications
Strong multi-tasker with experience in organizing and managing multiple projects and priorities
Strong ability to work unsupervised, at a fast pace in a calm and collected manner
Ability to troubleshoot and act as a critical thinker
Results oriented with strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills
