Title: Media Supply Chain Engineer

* This is a hybrid role and is located in our Burbank, CA office * Salry range $90k-$100k 

About the role

We are looking for someone technical to manage our Production Media Asset Management, automation systems, and workflows, at our Burbank office. This individual will work as part of a global team ensuring the smooth running of the Media Supply Chain.

Areas of responsibility

Manage the global Production MAM and automation systems, including installations, upgrades, and day-to-day support via an internal ticketing system

Provide expertise in the identification and evaluation of new workflows, tools and services

Raise and track issues with vendors, providing additional information when needed, and validating solutions when provided

Create, run, and maintain scripts and test plans covering the testing of company functionality during the upgrade of internal systems

Work closely with operations management to understand use case automation opportunities

Essential skills

Experience in Media Asset Management, Media workflows, automation systems and techniques

Familiar with audio and video technical specifications, codec, framerate, aspect ratio, etc.

Experience with writing scripts, BASH, Python, Ruby, etc.

Working knowledge of in APIs, Metadata, XML and XSLT

Administrator level knowledge of various operating systems

Desirable skills

Familiar with Film and TV industry

Working knowledge of computer components

Familiar Telestream Vantage, Aspera and Signiant

Experience of help desk software

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in order management / ERP systems are essential.
  • Experience in systems administration is required.
  • You will have experience of collecting user stories.
  • Listening to user requirements, and translating them into documentation that forms the basis for configuration or developers to work from.
  • Writing training documentation and creating training videos.
  • Be a problem solver, capable of driving a user-centred approach to product discovery and development.
  • Interacting directly with users.
  • Be familiar with coding technologies and development.
  • Have bug testing experience and the ability to document for remediation.
  • Ability to prioritise, manage and perform under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent IT skills and a good knowledge of SQL.
  • A learning mind-set and ability to pick up new skills
  • Excellent verbal communications skills. Approachable, friendly and able to build rapport.
  • Good written communication, able to quickly record details of problems and solutions as they arise.
  • Good personal organisational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Having a strong knowledge of Digital Supply Chain and Workflows is desirable.
  • Experience of Xytech’s MediaPulse, JIRA and Zendesk would be advantageous
