Job Description

VP, Operations is a strategic partner on the leadership team and works closely with the Managing Director to ensure the organization is running smoothly. The role is responsible for running the finance, accounting, operations, and project management teams.

VICE Jax

is a joint venture between VICE and a large Middle East media partner. VICE Jax's primary directive is to create a leading platform for quality digital Arabic content centered on modern Arab youth culture anchored in Saudi Arabia. The expectation of this role and others connected with VICE Jax is that you will work on VICE JAX project as well as other VICE Media lines of business including VICE and Virtue (VICE's creative agency) projects throughout the Middle East and Africa.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Looks for methods to improve quality, efficiency and productivity, reduce costs, increase profits, or improve control measures.
• Evaluates platforms and technologies for the organisation to use.
• Works with VICE global operations and security to make sure the office is ties into to the global structure.
• Works collaboratively to develop and/or improve systems, processes, controls and procedures that improve the overall efficiency of the business.
• Provides quarterly reports on the operating condition of the company.
• Work with local HR and global HR in the overall strategy, purpose, and vision of the entire Human Resources function: benefits, payroll, 401k, recruitment, learning and development, culture, performance management, and succession planning.
• Attract and recruit people for the company

QUALIFICATIONS
• Fluent in Arabic and English
• 7+ years experience in operations
• Strong communication skills
• Financial planning and strategy a plus
• Strategic planning and vision a plus

LOCATION
** Temporary location for this role can be between UAE and KSA but the candidate will eventually be expected to be located in Riyadh where VICE's Arabia HQ will be located.
