We are currently seeking a Senior Director of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting to report directly to the Global Controller and be responsible for our external reporting, statutory and regulatory filings, consolidations and provide support during our earnings cycle.

The ideal candidate must have a strong financial, reporting and technical accounting background, be comfortable and confident navigating through innovative and complex matters to support transactions and products to help scale our product ecosystems, have outstanding communication and writing skills, be attentive to details, and be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working with multiple cross functional teams. The candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to develop strong working relationships with cross-functional partners and various levels of senior leadership.

Responsibilities:
• Lead all aspects of the Company's global accounting policies, technical accounting guidance and financial reporting.
• Responsible for company-wide coordination, and preparation of the Company's quarterly and annual financial statements for submission to the Company's investors.
• Maintain internal controls for key processes around financial reporting and technical accounting
• Responsible for the preparation of the statement of cash flows statement
• Responsible for leading the company wide relationship with independent auditors to effective plan and coordinate annual audits, manage, and bring closure to accounting and auditing issues, including the implementation of new accountings standards and or judgmental technical accounting and auditing issues
• Responsible for the accounting integration of all acquisitions including accounting policy alignment, purchase accounting and related disclosures
• Responsible for the Company's annual testing of goodwill and acquired intangibles and support, 409A valuation, and the adoption of new technologies across the organization such that financial and accounting controls and processes continue to improve and be more efficient
• Provide the executive management and FP&A individuals with advice on both the financial and accounting implications of business activities including new business lines, reporting on performance against KPIs and unique contractual arrangements
• Research accounting standards and regulations, prepare memos and implement change as necessary to maintain compliance with US GAAP and other regulations. As well as deliver accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports in accordance with GAAP
• Responsible for the calculation of the Company's stock-based compensation expense and expense related to long term incentive plans.
• Responsible for the reconciliation of common stock activity

Qualifications

You have these:
• 10+ years' work experience (public / private mix) with prior big four experience
• CPA is required with experience in most areas of GAAP with a heavy focus on the ASC 606 revenue recognition standard
• Experience in the Media industry is a major plus factor
• Experience managing staff both domestically and internationally
• Ability to write and communicate effectively with all levels of senior management
• NetSuite knowledge is a plus

We'd love if you also have these:
• Global, public company financial management experience
A minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience in positions of increasing scope and responsibility. Experience or familiarity with public company external reporting requirements. Solid knowledge of US GAAP and the ever-changing regulatory environment.
• Relevant Sector Experience
A demonstrated track record of delivering reliable, timely and accurate consolidated financial results in a global, growing organization. Experience in the media industry is ideal.
• Leadership Experience
A track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent. A focus on developing talent and bench strength as a coach and mentor; capable of providing individual staff members with opportunities for professional and personal growth.
• Academic and professional credentials
A bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA is required. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
