Role x You

The Motion Graphics Designer will be responsible for using their strong creative background to create powerful stories that capture the audience's imagination or explain stories simply and efficiently for owned social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Youtube, etc)

In this role you will work closely with the Editorial and Production teams to create original animated video work that stands out and creates moments of conversation and engagement, you will pitch ideas and will execute projects that are greenlit by the Social Publisher in charge of originals, turning an idea into a video quickly and creatively.

JAX is a joint venture between VICE and MBC Group. JAX Media's primary directive is to create a leading platform for quality digital Arabic language content centred on modern culture anchored in Saudi Arabia. While this role will focus on the delivery of the JAX Media proposition, it should also support and responsibly represent VICE's growing presence in KSA more broadly.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Superb visual and conceptual skills to solve problems and create novel solutions
• Create visually stunning video and content assets, including data visualisation and animation
• Edit raw video footage and add effects/elements (e.g., sound) to enhance mo,on graphics.
• Create graphic templates for use by other team members
• Adhere to brief guidelines in ways that still push creative boundaries
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge about the latest graphic design techniques
• Collaborate with marketing, editorial and production teams to best support larger media goals

QUALIFICATIONS
• A strong portfolio of motion graphics work
• Has a pulse of what kind of content works in vertical/social formats in Saudi and can help be part of the content strategy
• Strong technical skills and proven ability to use digital design programs such as (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effect, illustrator) for 2D/3D animation
• The ability to partner with other creative team members and key stakeholders to create content used across a variety of platforms
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and have strong project management skills
• Be a great communicator, receive and interpret feedback, and meet tight deadlines
• Respond to user feedback, data/analytics, and client feedback to improve the creative work in future iterations
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, film, anima,on, or a related field preferred
