Job Description
VICE Media Group continues to be the most innovative publisher in the advertising space for brands by pushing the worlds of media and technology forward through premium storytelling across all channels of youth media.

We are seeking a strategic manager for our global programmatic advertising solutions based in the US, driving programmatic revenue growth for the North America commercial business. Working closely with the Associate Director, Programmatic Solutions in Europe, you'll be primarily responsible for the direct support of our Agency and Client Partnerships teams in their ability to unlock and sustain programmatic advertising budgets. Sitting alongside key media and creative teams, this exciting position lies within the Advertising Operations team and also acts as an operational specialist to deliver efficient and effective display, video and native executions that drive creativity, innovation and revenue for VICE Media Group at scale.

In the short term you will familiarize yourself in full with our sales teams, our programmatic tech stack, your department and its involvement across the business. You will assume oversight of our programmatic offering and, by beginning to evaluate the results, form a basis from which to grow success in North America.

After 6 months in this role you have established yourself as an expert on the team, a key decision maker in our programmatic strategy, and a specialist in your business area. You have taken ownership of the team's interaction with North American commercial teams from pre to post-sale, through which you have built strong relationships with your counterparts and any key vendors we might work with.

After a year you are partnering with your department leads and other commercial managers across the business to ensure maximum efficiency and revenue gains from the role of Programmatic Solutions in our overall digital ad offering. Alongside ongoing evaluation of performance and effectiveness, you actively look to adjust or compliment our offering by seeking out new monetization opportunities, approaches and solutions.

Responsibilities
• Act as primary support for North American sales teams in their ability to pursue and respond to programmatic media briefs
• Specialise in programmatic advertising platforms, demand opportunities and client-lead performance metrics
• Fully understand the features and commercial benefits of VMG's global SSPs
• Partner with the broader Ad Operations team, Media Strategy and other operational teams globally to ensure full delivery and optimal performance across campaigns along with consistency in processes
• Research new ideas and channels, stay on top of digital advertising trends and apply market knowledge to team's offering
• Help manage key 3rd party programmatic advertising services relationships, including Google, in the interests of the company
• Help test and implement on scale latest programmatic advertising solutions

Requirements
• 2+ years working in a programmatic advertising setting, either supply or demand side
• Direct experience of supporting a sales team and delivering sales pitches
• Solid understanding of Google Ad Manager / Google Ad Exchange, with other SSP knowledge desirable
• Robust experience with a variety of ad technologies, including but not limited to: Boostr, Oracle Data Cloud, Moat, Integral Ad Science
• In-depth knowledge of the digital advertising landscape
