Job Description
About VICE MEDIA GROUP

An international media company that captures people at the heart of stories, and focuses on the ideas, issues, and context that other outlets miss. Launched in 1994, VICE operates in 35 cities across the globe, making 1500 pieces of content every day with a focus on five lines of business: VICE Digital, an award-winning international network of digital content; VICE STUDIOS, a feature film and television production studio; VICELAND, an Emmy-winning international television network; a Peabody award-winning NEWS division; and VIRTUE, a global, full-service creative agency with 21 offices around the world.

About VIRTUE

Since 2006, we've used our entertainment DNA to help brands capture the attention of their audiences with work that speaks to our most primal instincts of pleasure, attraction and delight. We believe in commanding, not demanding; entertaining, not interrupting; contributing, not leaching. Because brands should add to the world they want to be a part of - not distract from it.

With presence in 21 countries, we craft campaigns, platforms, and IP for some of the most important brands on the planet. Using proprietary tools, access, and intelligence, we find new ways for brands to matter to the world through an entertainment-centric approach that plunges its hooks into audiences' subconscious and refuses to let go.

Virtue is behind the Cannes-Lions award-winning Carlings adDRESS the Future and Q, the Genderless Voice; the award-winning Google Chrome's Don't Be A Browser' and Park MGM's Las Vegas Love Stories; and Weedmaps' Museum of Weed, Dove's Dear Future Dads, and so much more...

VICE/VIRTUE x Team

The VIRTUE FP&A team supports our VIRTUE management to have an understanding of the financial health of the company. This team helps share information that will help drive decisions regarding the agency's performance, and also helps management communicate these decisions with VICE global leadership. The team atmosphere is highly collaborative and supportive of each other while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Role x You

In the short term you will support long-range planning, annual budgeting, and quarterly financial forecasting through financial modeling of a full service Agency P/L. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you will analyze and report on the current financial status. You will have exposure to key stakeholders across the Agency line of businesses in the MEA and APAC region, as well as work closely with the Accounting teams to ensure the accurate and consistent recording of revenue and expenses.

In the long term, you will help support the Director in preparing materials for monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings to review P/L with regional Agency management and/or global executive management.
Over time, you will own pipeline analysis and reporting to ensure the agency is tracking to revenue plans, or to raise diversions from revenue plans in order for sales related decision-making. You will also assist in reviews of project budgets to ensure accurate information regarding project margins, and handle ad-hoc analysis when needed to aid in management decision-making.

Qualifications

You have these:
• 1-3 years in a finance/analytical role (preferably background in FP&A)
• Bachelor's degree required (preferably in accounting or finance)
• Ability to think analytically, problem-solve, and prioritize multiple tasks including ad-hoc requests
• Understanding of a Professional Services company P/L, and ability to analyze actuals against established P/L budgets
• Excellent financial modeling
• Expert Excel, Google Spreadsheet and PowerPoint skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Highly organized and detail oriented with an ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines (stress tolerance)

We'd Love If You Also Had These
• Knowledge of the advertising and agency industries a plus
• Experience using Workfront, Workday, NetSuite, Salesforce, and GSuite
