Finance Manager

ROLE

The Finance Manager will have joint responsibilities in FP&A and accounting activities. The position will touch all areas of the business, including network operations, sales operations support.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in month-end close activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries, summary financials and variance analysis
• Liaison with international team members to ensure accurate and timely sharing of financial information, including intercompany transactions, cash requirements and payroll transactions.
• Supervise the accounting team and mentor junior staff
• Support accounting activities for Vice and Pulse Italia (two entities)
• Prepare schedules for quarterly reviews and year-end audit for independent external auditors and FS. Research issues, clarify information, and prepare supporting data
• Assist in the departmental budgeting process and presenting monthly financials to key stakeholders, including commercial, production and network executive department
• In conjunction with the Finance Lead, develop network annual operating budget and long range plan
• Responsible for preparation and review of the General Ledger and Trial Balance

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• 5+ years' experience in financial analysis or public accounting
• Experience/solid understanding of fundamental accounting concepts namely accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets capitalization
• Must have advanced proficiency with Excel, including experience with pivot tables, charting, and financial formulas
• Prior knowledge of media industry preferred
• Candidate must be a quick learner, detail oriented and be able to multitask
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Desire to work in a fast paced environment and ability to adapt to change quickly
