Executive Producer

Job Description

The Executive Producer is a key leadership role across production. An experienced production person with a strong proven record of industry experience, responsible for the quality of content, and production teams.

VICE JAX is a joint venture between VICE and a large Middle East media partner. VICE Jax's primary directive is to create a leading platform for quality digital Arabic content centered on modern Arab youth culture anchored in Saudi Arabia. The expectation of this role and others connected with VICE Jax is that you will work on VICE JAX project as well as other VICE Media lines of business including VICE and Virtue (VICE's creative agency) projects throughout the Middle East and Africa.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leader in the production department.
• Sets or approves budgets for productions
• Key understanding of business goals to ensure overall production quality
• Responsible for weekly cost reporting
• Ensure regional production and budgeting processes and standards are being upheld
• Responsible for sourcing and engaging local third party resources and key hires
• Sharing Monthly/Quarterly report/updates on production
• Building out production network/access for VICE productions
• Closely works with the HOP and leading Supervising producers, and producers across the region to ensure smooth operations across multiple productions
• Responsible for recruiting and building up the production team.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be a fluent in Arabic and English.
• Minimum 7 years production experience
• International shoot production experience essential
• Proven experience managing large and small scale productions
• Has a strong existing culturally relevant network of creatives, production companies and freelance production crew

LOCATION
** Temporary location for this role can be between UAE and KSA but the candidate will eventually be expected to be located in Riyadh where VICE's Arabia HQ will be located.
