EIC, Unscripted Production
Role:
To work on behalf of VICE Studios and Pulse Films across Non-Fiction productions, ensuring series, special, documentary or film stays on schedule and within budget, while adhering to the deliverables of individual buyers and networks in addition to the department's objectives and KPI's.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee production process from initial development through delivery of series and documentary across multiple projects
• Select and hire artists, directors, and crew members to work across all projects
• Interview industry professionals to determine their fit for each production
• Manage and approve all production and post schedules in accordance with approved
budgets and delivery deadlines
• Track and report margin, potential breakage and savings
• Work with Finance and Production Accounting on all production related production budgets and cash flows.
• Review and approve all production related expenses
• Create payment schedule based on cash flow
• Provide guidance and structure for (contracted) Line Producers and production staff to ensure all contracts, deal memos, permits, releases, etc. are adhered to per Company
requirements.
• Track pipeline status for multiple projects across production and post-productions, proactively communicating any potential schedule challenges and workable solutions
• Oversee and approve production bible for individual productions
• Work with show EP's, Directors and Showrunners creative deliverables, crew selection and
equipment
• Track and compile necessary documentation for Finance/Production Accounting to identify
and track tax incentives and related expenses.
• Work with the legal department to manage necessary contracts for artists and crew
members
• Oversees day-to-day production processes to ensure activities are running according to
schedule
• Approve credits and ensure it complies with the respective broadcaster, funding agency or clients' agreement.
• Deliver each program according to buyer agreements
• Resolves any problems or interruptions across all projects
• Review finished product to determine its quality and readiness for release.
Key Skills and Experience:
• 10+ years production experience with a minimum of 5 – 7 years across unscripted production in a similar role within television or film
• Familiarity with the LatAm market
• Fluency in Spanish a plus
• Extensive production management experience across original production, including expert scheduling and budgeting ability
• Ability to generate high-quality material in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects at once and have flexibility to respond to rapidly changing priorities
• Communicates clearly and effectively
• Works well within a team
• Ability to present and lead discussions with senior executives within Vice Studios and
externally with production partners.
• Demonstrates knowledge of current media market trends
• Maintains a strong network of industry performers and other production contacts
• Exhibits ability to think both creatively and analytically.
• Possesses excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Is willing and able to travel for work-related events

The salary range is subject to change and may be amended in the future. Experience, education, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
Pay Range Details:
New York/California: $150,000 - 165,000 USD
