Job Description

As Director, Ad Strategy you operate as our central point of innovation, strategy and intelligence in our digital advertising offering and its response to digital media briefs globally. From unique rich media ad experiences on property to performance-led packages off property, you structure and represent our approach in support of our commercial teams. You lead the ideation of new solutions that are both market appropriate and marketing defining, and coordinate cross-department with key stakeholders to successfully launch and deliver new initiatives.

Further, you maintain a keen understanding of the commercial success and key performance attributes of our digital ad portfolio to ensure that it is continually optimized and ultimately profitable. At the core of your team, you also lead The Ad Studio, a global service under VICE Media Group that designs and builds a range of innovative ad experiences for our clients in line with your strategic thinking.

In the short term, you will familiarize yourself in full with the company's current offering and position in the market. You will assume ownership of the current product range along with its supporting materials, begin to evaluate its commercial success, and devise a roadmap to implement a future-proof global strategy.

After 6 months in this role, you have established yourself as an authority on digital advertising strategy internally. You have begun to implement your roadmap, through which you have built strong relationships with your counterparts and key vendors.

After a year, you are our starting point for digital advertising strategy globally. Alongside ongoing evaluation of the roadmap and our commercial success, you actively look to adjust or compliment our offering by seeking out new strategic relationships, approaches and solutions.

Responsibilities
• Own our digital ad strategy, educating our commercial teams on how to approach client briefs with the most appropriate ad product mix.
• Be a visionary on how our ad product mix needs to evolve to remain market leading.
• Lead internal marketing initiatives as well as client-facing materials, ensuring our ad products are positioned in the most premium and innovative way.
• Compliment our revenue generation via new and innovative streams of ad product opportunities and monetization.
• Manage ad product performance and find efficiencies by iterating on existing products and packages.
• Oversee ad product vendor relationships, billing and invoicing globally.
• Train commercial and operational teams globally for accurate adoption of processes.
• Lead The Ad Studio, directly managing a Design Manager and a Project Manager.

Requirements
• 8+ years experience in a digital media strategy or ad product marketing role.
• 4+ years experience of team management.
• Direct experience of supporting the in-market deployment of ad products and ad packages.
• In-depth knowledge of the digital advertising landscape.
• Proven presentation design skills and ideally sales pitching experience at a senior level.
• An innovative and analytical mind.
