VICE x Team

The creative team is responsible for coming up with creative partnerships that help brands speak to our audience, while creating value for both sides. Their responsibilities include conceptualizing and creatively overseeing the production of commercial creative solutions with a focus on content that inspires and engages our audience while achieving our clients goals. The team atmosphere is highly creative, collaborative, and often fast paced with an emphasis on creating balance between teamwork and short bursts of individual creative time.

Role x You

You are passionate about culture and interested in becoming part of an international team of creatives working on solutions that meet the needs of both our clients and our audience. You have an understanding of what differentiates VICE, i-D and Refinery29 and feel thrilled about honing your skills in an ever-changing environment of youth media.

In the short term you can expect to familiarise yourself with our editorial brands and fitting commercial approaches for each by supporting the creative team in building decks (e.g. talent research, copywriting or building mood boards).

But after 6 months in this role you will be able to confidently suggest appropriate creative routes for our responses based on audience and culture insights building your own creatives to share with clients.

And after a year you will be able to craft narratives across your own decks with minimal oversight by senior creatives and own the creative execution of your projects.

Qualifications

You have these:
• publisher, agency or freelance creative/copywriting experience, preferably with a background in culture, fashion, music, film or design
• strong writing skills in both German and English
• a thorough understanding of local and international youth culture paired with genuine interest in creating creative solutions for clients
• a passion for VICE and our approach to content, but also aware of and interested in the unique mission of Refinery29 and the visual language and ethos of i-D
• Excitement to join a hands-on team that is motivated by making things happen as a collective force
• willingness to leave your comfort zone and learn new skills along the way, even if they seem out of your lane

We'd love if you also had these:
• a good feeling for appropriate talent suggestions ranging from a-list rappers to up-and-coming designers
or students with interesting side gigs
• a penchant for design and art direction
• a passion for culturally relevant content told through the lense of Refinery29 and i-D with a focus on Gen Z
• experience or interest in audio content, social media and/or experiential
