The Business & Legal Affairs team provides business oriented legal guidance and strategies across the organization.

Role x You

You are a highly motivated self-starter who has a deep commitment and passion for the mission of VICE Media Group to capture people at the heart of stories, and focus on the ideas, issues, and context that other outlets miss. You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can prioritize requests from multiple departments. You are a team player and an extremely organized, passionate, and detail-oriented individual who can provide general oversight, organization, and continuity across VICE's commercial team.
• Oversee the general management and coordination of contracts and documents, including, but not limited to, non-disclosure agreements, releases, creative services agreements, and invoices.
• Create and implement efficiencies in contract and document management processes.
• Develop and maintain tracking systems related to contracts and other commercial legal matters.
• Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and finalize low to medium complexity contracts in coordination with other commercial legal team members.
• Meaningfully participate in contract-specific team meetings.
• Work with a broad range of departments on commercial matters and seek ways to improve commercial legal policies and procedures.
• Provide general administrative support across the legal department, as needed.
• Attend to other matters as assigned by the Vice President, Legal & Business Affairs, Commercial.

Qualifications

You have these:
• Bachelor's degree
• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience (digital media, studio, or agency experience preferred)
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Familiarity with general contract and intellectual property concepts
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently under changing circumstances and priorities
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality on business and legal matters
• Excellent computer literacy, exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced organization
