Based in our London office, the Finance department is a newly centralised shared services team for EMEA who play a busy and vital role within the VICE Media Group.
Role X You
As our Accounts Receivable Associate, you will be supporting the Accounts Receivable Manager to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the sales and billing process. Working in a small team, you will perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data.
Responsibilities
• Prepare, verify, and process invoices for sales or services rendered
• Liaise with finance manager/ sales/ project managers for accurate digital billings and maintain billing schedules
• Generate and send out clear/concise invoices and statements
• Follow up and collect payments according to our/ agreed payment terms
• Monitor customer account details for delayed/non-payments or any irregularities
• Review and report on AR aging at invoice level; following up on outstanding invoices at least once per week. Escalating disputed invoices with AR Manager/Sales Manager when necessary
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Verify discrepancies and resolve client's billing issues
• Daily banking/ Posting of customer payments first thing in the morning by recording cash and checking transactions and entering them into the general ledger ERP system
• Maintain accounts receivable files and records
• Update the cashflow forecast as and when invoices are promised for payment and a payment date is confirmed
• Support the AR Manager
Experience
• Minimum 5 years Accounts Receivable experience, collection experience required.
• Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a busy media/creative business is a plus
• Must have experience using cloud-based ERP system and experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
• Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency

• You have an acute attention to detail and use this to take pride in your work
• Detail-oriented multi-tasker with demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and cooperatively with team members
• Ability to take direction as well as work independently
• You are flexible, agile and adaptable based on changing needs and environment
• A problem solver with exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills; you have the ability to proactively address potential issues or concerns
We would love if you also have these:
• Additional languages: Dutch, French and or German
• Experience in rapidly changing, global business, with a wide range of goods and services under management
