Overview and Responsibilities

The Ad Sales Research & Insights team is a division of ViacomCBS Advanced Advertising. We elevate the value of ViacomCBS' diverse and distributed audiences for advertising partners. We empower our sellers with measurement, strategic insights and data leverage for their clients. This group is charged with making the consumer connection with ViacomCBS' many varied audiences across all platforms by providing expertise in generational and life stage segments. We specialize in studies, surveys, data sets, forecasting and metrics that help internal and external clients further their knowledge of targets, engagement, consumerism and ad efficiency.

Reporting to the SVP of Ad Sales Research & Insights, this Vice President will be an experienced leader responsible for overseeing the national ad sales qualitative and quantitative research efforts, strategies and advocacy for Viacom's Kids and Family brands which includes Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Nick Toons and Teen Nick. This group specializes in insights, measurement, media consumption, consumerism and trends related to Kids, Teens and Parents. This team leader is also charged with provision of research for all VCBS Sales on the key consumer categories that are integral to these cohorts: Toys, Retail, CPG, HBA, Studio, Gaming and Entertainment. This role is an integral member and contributor to ViacomCBS Advanced Advertising's senior management.

Responsibilities
• Partner and liaise with senior sales management on brand strategy and positioning of our properties in the marketplace
• Measure the efficiency of traditional and non-traditional advertising campaigns with the added challenge of kids and kids compliance
• Author and present consumer-focused research on brands, generations, trend and categories, as well as data-driven research, to internal and external clients and at industry events
• Lead forward-thinking thought leadership that advances the business and elevates our industry position as experts
• Innovatively utilize cross-platform viewership data (linear, digital, and social) to build thoughtful and provocative audience analyses
• Inspire new, advanced data analytics methodologies that challenge traditional research methodologies
• Possess strong data proficiency and set a high standard on how it is brought to life and visualized to support priorities
• Manage relationship with Pricing and Inventory team to guide research staff through the creation of timely precise selling estimates
• Effectively manage, motivate, and inspire staff to maximize their potential and grow to the next level
• Oversee the direct team's resources and vendor relationships as well as some of the broader department's

Basic Qualifications
• 10+ years' experience in media or consumer research. Expertise on young adult and youth consumers desired
• Bachelor's degree
• Expertise in linear, digital and social measurement and methodologies and related reporting systems and experience with media estimates
• Experience in managing large consumer insights projects and people

Additional Qualifications
• Knowledge of a wide variety of syndicated data tools (MRI, YouGov, Kantar, Comscore, trend and insight providers)
• Ability to solve problems strategically, think creatively, and be an assertive leader and facilitator of collaboration
• Interest and awareness in various aspects of kids programming, culture, and trends
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail, ability to work and lead under pressure and multitask
• Proven fiscally responsible in overseeing projects and budgets
