CBS Sports Digital -- a portfolio of premium digital sports media properties including CBSSports.com, 247Sports, MaxPreps and SportsLine -- is consistently ranked a top-three sports property, reaching more than 70M sports fans monthly across desktop, mobile, and connected TV devices. Our team is a diverse and agile group that effectively collaborates with the business to shape our department.

Role Details:

We are looking for a team member who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with an emphasis on mobile programming. We want someone to deliver the voice and pace of the CBS Sports app's alerts, with a goal of directing modern sports fans into content tailor-made for their interests. The ideal candidate is smart, creative, competitive and motivated by both business goals and the quality of the product.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Help identify what is relevant and important to our audience
• Help understand audience segmentation and how to reach as many people as possible with the content they care about
• Promote CBS Sports HQ and other initiatives
• Assist in editing stories and making news decisions for CBSSports.com and the app

Key Projects:
• Help develop audience acquisition and audience development strategies around our mobile apps
• Establish best practices for the voice and display of our mobile alerts
• Drive awareness and audience to CBS Sports HQ and the live game rights available in the CBS Sports app and on the site

What you bring to the team:

You might have -
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a communications-related field (or equivalent training & experience)
• Minimum 5 years working in a journalism-related field
• Experience working with Content Management Systems
• Experience working in mobile alerts
• Fine-tuned copy-editing and writing skills
• Demonstrated ability for strategic editorial thinking

You might also have -
• A strong portfolio of prior work in a similar field
• Video production or programming experience
• Knowledge of Photoshop or similar programs
• Schedule flexibility and the ability to work some nights and weekends
