Sr. Developer, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) (Atlanta, GA)

Overview & Responsibilities

We at ViacomCBS are looking for a Sr. Developer, Robotic Process Automation! This role will be responsible for developing robotic process automations that streamline various business processes at ViacomCBS in Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, and Tech! This person will ultimately be an integral part of the core RPA Center of Excellence (COE) Team, collaborating with business process owners, the external consulting team, and the internal COE members to build and scale our Automation Program within the organization.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Developer will perform a wide range of duties including some, or all the following:
• Provide direction with process design.
• Design, develop, and test automation workflows.
• Deploy RPA components including bots, robots, development tools, code repositories, and logging tools.
• Support the launch and implementation of RPA solutions.
• Build process and end-user documentation.
• Assure the quality of the automation (QA processes).
• Work with Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, QA Analysts, Product Owners, and other multi-functional resources to define and deliver business impacting projects.
• Work directly with partners to collect business requirements and translate them into technical approaches and designs that can be implemented.
• Collaborate with development colleagues to ensure accurate implementation and integration of the solutions.
• Support deployments or solve production issues outside of work hours and participate in an on-call rotation as-needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of applicable technologies and business processes.
• Applies significant knowledge of product and developments to improve service to our automation inventory.
• Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
• Leads the development lifecycle and is responsible for handling technical risks throughout the project.
• Communicates and enforces coding standards.
• Regularly delivers high-quality services to our clients.
• Understands complex database concepts and effectively employs different database design techniques.
• Understands ERP concepts and steadily applies them in client engagements.
• Understands browser / client specific compatibility issues.
• Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
• Reviews the status reports of fellow colleagues and addresses technical issues as appropriate.
• Aligns with and helps to implement standard SOX policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications
• Hands-on experience on RPA tools – Automation Anywhere A360.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in any of the programming languages, like C/C++, Python, VB Script, Ruby, Java, JS, .Net. and .NET framework application.
• Able to craft technical specification documents for RPA Projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Access, Outlook, Excel), including macros creation.

Additional Qualifications
• Experience with OCR Tools like ABBYY.
• Basic programming knowledge on HTML, JavaScript (or any scripting language).
• Experience developing and consuming APIs.
• Advanced A360 RPA Developer certifications preferred but not required (training can be provided).
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
• Experience with Databases (SQL or NoSQL) often preferred.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• Understanding of workflow-based logic.
• Meticulous to detail and proficient analytical skills.
• Superior time and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical details to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and complex troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to work through ambiguous situations.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and able to take initiative without always being directed.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize the most urgent tasks and projects.
