Brand/Division Overview:

The Applied Machine Learning Group within ViacomCBS Streaming's Advanced Technologies division focuses on deploying machine learning techniques to improve products.

Role Details:

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager who will drive highly-complex projects in a fast-paced environment. The TPM is detail-oriented, takes initiative, thinks creatively, and is a great teammate. A successful candidate should understand the technical aspects of digital platforms and backend services that support customer-facing technologies within a product development organization. The Technical Program manager will work with cross-functional teams (e.g., AMLG, Paramount +, Paramount + International, etc.) to drive projects from inception to launch!

In this position you will drive activities and collaborate cross-functionally to help drive the expansion of machine learning products across the company. which will include search and personalization. Does this sound like you? This role will provide the opportunity to collaborate with multiple business units, to establish best practices, and standards to support predictable results. In addition, you'll partner with various agile teams to assist with optimizing how teams collaborate and deliver work efficiently and with greater quality.

Your Day-to-Day:

Facilitate program-level ceremonies, processes, and overall execution of value delivery.

Collaborate with other Program Managers, Scrum Managers, and Project Managers to coordinate initiatives across multiple technology teams, from inception to delivery.

Drive cross-team communication by providing accurate and proactive value tracking to the larger organization.

Participate in strategy and kickoff meetings and quarterly big-room planning, balancing cross-functional dependencies and setting delivery expectations.

Facilitate the production of high-level documentation around existing operational processes and proposed workflows and APIs.

Actively identify and remove impediments that may impact team velocity or deliverables.

Manage risk and dependencies. Communicate effectively to all stakeholders ensuring focus on business objectives.

Working as a servant-leader within the team, using leadership skills to cultivate healthy and productive working relationships and habits.

Continuously assess and determine areas of opportunity for more efficient processes and workflows.

Work directly with the VP of Product Management and the Principal ML Engineer for the Applied Machine Learning Group

Qualifications:

What you bring to the team:

You have –

Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, communications, engineering or other technical related field, or equivalent experience.

In depth knowledge of the full SDLC, from project/feature intake through delivery and support.

5+ years in project management, in a software development organization, for consumer facing technologies.

Experience with software development methodologies; preferably scaled Agile.

Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships. Excellent people skills, with strong influence towards collaboration.

Possess a strong understanding of application development, API transactions, and repository processes.

Ability to multitask, be flexible, and adapt to fast-paced environments and technologies.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

You might also have –

Relevant certifications: PMP/PMI, CSM, or SAFe Agile is preferred.

Experience with JIRA, Slack, Kanban, Google Suite, Confluence, and GitHub a plus.

Preferred experience in Machine Learning and AI.

Also to have knowledge in any of the following areas: streaming application development and related backend system development; video player technology; media preparation, processing and delivery (transcoding, packing and DRM); Cloud Infrastructure, Data Warehousing (DW) & Data Pipelines (GCP, BigQuery, AWS, Azure) and Business Intelligence (Tableau, Cognos, Data Studio).

Proficient in verbal/written communication skills including presenting to large audiences.

Passion for Streaming and ViacomCBS content and branding.
