Overview:

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) is comprised of both digital and physical distribution businesses, overseeing the sales and operations for digital transactional film and television content including PVOD, PEST, EST, and VOD for Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Illumination, DreamWorks Animation, and independent studios, as well as physical DVD and Blu-Ray product sales in multiple international markets.

Responsibilities:

The Commercial Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Senior Financial Analyst will help to support the reporting and analysis of the global digital & physical lines of businesses within Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The Senior Financial Analyst will play an important role in weekly/bi-weekly reporting, monthly financial pacing, and various quarterly and annual financial reviews. This person should have a finance background with strong technical and analytical skills. Attention to detail is important as the reporting our team generates is distributed across a number of teams within UPHE as well as other business units we work closely with. This position will report to the Director of Commercial FP&A, supporting the Commercial team, and will work closely with the Global FP&A team as well as Film Headquarters.
• Ensure accurate data gathering for the weekly UPHE dashboard.
• Distribute weekly PVOD Summary.
• Distribute bi-weekly Competitive Hit Title Tracking updates.
• Assist with monthly pacing forecast process for new release titles; help to consolidate and upload financial data to studio Film Headquarters.
• Assist in quarterly Partners ultimates review.
• Assist in the quarterly toolkit and annual deep dive review of title ultimates.
• Review, analyze, and share insights/trends.
• Data integrity checks for both finance and business analytics.
• Build effective business partner relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Work with the team to drive business process improvements across the group.
• Support the Senior Management Team with ad-hoc data and financial analysis requests.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Desired Characteristics:
• Experience in SAP/AOE/BPC or Essbase is preferred but not required.
• Interest and/or experience in media and entertainment.
• Possess an aptitude for financial systems, solid analytical abilities, outstanding process improvement capabilities, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with and mining large amounts of data and streamlining manual processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy.
• Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to building working relationships in a matrix environment.
• Ability to plan and organize work in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Possesses a high level of personal and professional integrity.
