Job Description

Universal Music Group is looking for a talented Analyst to join an innovative strategic project team. This Analyst will contribute to the company's global strategic goals by supporting digital system development and business process improvements. This role will develop a comprehensive knowledge of the company's global business, digital system architecture, and end-to-end supply chain processes. In their specific role, the candidate will be a key part of the Advanced Operation team's ability to operationalize business processes and develop technology to meet the demands of a fast-growing digital music marketplace.

How you'll CREATE:
• Develop a thorough understanding of UMG's business processes and technical landscape
• Support ad-hoc projects as part of the Advanced Operations team by documenting workflows, defining product requirements and proposing creative solutions
• Perform scoping of activities required to develop new applications in an Agile framework
• Ownership of requirements to be built by the team, presentation of the stories and journeys to product & business owners
• Create application documentation for end-users and technical staff as needed
• Research and determine the suitability of 3rd party digital tools to support the needs of the business
• Assist with user acceptance testing as necessary and appropriate
• Liaise with various business units to understand processes and digital application needs

• Undergraduate degree with a focus on computer science or business preferred
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, ability to work independently
• Ability to coordinate tasks and meet deliverables on time
• Flexibility when priorities and timelines change
• Experience in documentation of workflows
• Understanding and experience in Agile development and requirements documentation (JIRA, Confluence)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to the business
• Adaptable and personable with a team player attitude. Intellectually curious with a strong work ethic
• Basic knowledge of how to work with and interpret data (e.g. a strong focus in Excel), along with high aptitude for learning new software programs
