Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager for our Global Vendor Management Office (VMO). This position reports to the Senior Director and is responsible for supporting the VMO and our US business units with the operational aspects of vendor oversight and contracts management. The VMO's guiding principle is to support UMG in obtaining the greatest value from our vendors through appropriate structuring of contracts, and contracts management combined with compliance and spend reporting.

How you'll CREATE:

Governing to Procurement Policy & assist with policy implementation
• Assist with updates to and communication of global procurement policy
• Ensure accurate PO Compliance reporting data is available to deliver to finance teams monthly
• Address Business Unit concerns over reporting, troubleshoot reporting defects, adjust reporting to reflect policy changes
• Recommend improvements in reporting based on Business Unit feedback and governance standards, to drive up PO Compliance rates

Contracts Management
• Develop strong relationships with legal counsels, internal business owners, liaise with and support in drafting supplier agreements
• Facilitate reporting of contract status and assist contract owners with stated goals during the RFx, contract authoring and SRM phases of the lifecycle
• Work with business owners to ensure scheduling of activity/renewals and SLA deliverables are in line with policy
• Flag contract risks for review
• Supervise maintenance of contracts database and contract on-boarding to database
• Maintain contracts templates and clauses in contract management system
• Maintain contract compliance tracker to inform on new contract requirements, expiry, and renewals

Spend Reporting
• Provide visibility, analytics and recommendations around vendor spend and performance to help facilitate purchasing decisions
• Create and refine spend reporting to support specific projects and planning such as RFx, benchmarking or compliance reporting
• Gather all supplier information and UMG vendor usage data within UMG e.g. spend by type of X, capability etc.
• Measure expenditure, using the vendor portfolio, after implementation of new supplier agreements to monitor changes in expenditure to allow for budget reductions
• Manage and assist with vendor classification and reporting on vendor portfolio statistics

Supplier Relationship Management
• Help build an effective SRM Service Model including supplier portfolio management and segmentation
• Build SRM working committees with key business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain effective and productive relationships with business units and suppliers focused on delivering value while minimizing risk through organizational/process alignment, SLA management, and performance management
• Recommend ongoing Business Unit/supplier relationship improvements and remediation actions when appropriate
• Creation of preferred supplier list of contracted suppliers

Customer Service
• To be the point of contact to the business wishing to:
• Know which suppliers to use for a given product / service
• Require governance/vendor management support
• Requesting information on procurement policies
• Understand the supplier Corporate Social Responsibility process
• Respond to customer contacts and log contact points and resolve each one to successful conclusion
• To triage requests to suitable policies/tools or contacts within the business
• To complete reporting relevant to role and suggest improvement initiatives
• Leads or supports departmental initiatives and change management activities

Staff Supervision (1-2 staff)
• Give shape to and prioritize staff's day to day activities to meet department deadlines, mid and long-term objectives
• Understand how to capitalize on staff strengths and guide skill improvement/development
• Set expectations and transparent accountability standards for staff
• Be accountable for staff performance and communicate to leadership regularly on staff issues as they arise

Experience:
• 8+ years relevant experience in vendor portfolio management and/or supplier relationship management, with accountability to measure output
• Skilled in supplier performance and relationship management - demonstrating exposure to the Indirect, Marketing, Supply Chain spend supply base
• Working experience in a large enterprise setting, with diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in contract review (business terms)
• Project Management
• Vendor SLA/performance monitoring
• Preferred experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) software (Icertis, etc.)
• Technically adept to learn and manage CLM system and related activities
• Collaboration tools savvy: Monday.com, Teams, Zoom, OneDrive, SharePoint

Education:
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
• Intermediate to advanced skills with the following applications preferred:
• SAP Business Objects / Business Warehouse reporting
• Tableau dashboards
• MS PowerPoint (required)
• MS Excel (advanced, required)
• MS Word
Other:

The role may require travel to Woodland Hills office location up to 2 times a week for staff/client/vendor meetings. Remote work permitted for all other days.
