The Manager, Global Royalty at UMPG is a highly visible and exciting opportunity to both perform as a royalty accounting expert as well as drive relationships with Universal offices around the world. The role is at the center of UMPG's greater administration team through which our internal Global partnerships thrive. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Royalty, the Manager role encompasses territory relationship ownership, royalty statement processing, and quarterly accounting close responsibilities. The position is rich in opportunity for involvement with the company's biggest deals, signings, and international projects.

How You'll Create
• Oversee incoming royalty statement processing for designated territories in high volume markets.
• Own the Royalty relationship with the local Administration teams in designated territories.
• Work closely with UMPG's Global Data Services team to ensure accuracy of data captured in UMPG systems.
• Ensure accurate and timely execution during quarterly accounting close periods.
• Prepare and review royalty statement reconciliations.
• Perform royalty runs for designated territories, adhering to territory deadlines.
• Investigate, validate, and process adjustments submitted by local offices.
• Ensure review and control procedures are carried out for designated territories.
• Own unique client specific projects and statement servicing, seeking to uphold a high level of customer service.
• Contribute to the building of new system tools and the implementation of new technologies within UMPG's Global Royalty system, partnering with teams cross divisionally and around the world.
• Bring a fresh perspective, seeking to deconstruct and rebuild processes to create efficiencies and improvements.
• Perform ad hoc reporting and royalty team projects as needed.

Bring Your Vibe
• 5 years of accounting and analysis experience, preferably in music rights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and text editors required.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as DOMO, QuickSight, Tableau, and Power BI a plus.
• Ability to work in a bespoke systems landscape.
• Strong organization skills, critical thinking, analysis, and attention to detail are required for success.
• Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately while managing competing priorities is crucial.
• 4 year degree in Business, Accounting, or Music Business strongly preferred.
• The ability to partner and work well as part of a team is required.
• Overtime as required.
