Legal Analyst, Bilingual

Job Description

We are currently seeking an eager and exceptional Bilingual, (English/ ) Legal Analyst in Royalty and Copyright Business Affairs. The Legal Analyst will be responsible for contract interpretation, analysis, and briefing in both and English; and will act as a liaison between label Business Affairs departments and the Royalties department. The position requires experience and skill in, among other things, analyzing legal documents in both and English and providing practical legal and business advice.

How you’ll CREATE:
• Provide interpretation of terms and conditions of contractual royalty obligations in both and English
• Complete royalty-centered briefs based on legal documents to ensure compliance
• Input royalty rates and terms from briefs into royalties s translation system
• Research and answer issues that arise from both label business affairs and royalties department

Bring your VIBE:
• BA/BS degree, JD degree, paralegal certificate, or similar industry experience
• Recent grads with applicable Internships experience, or 1-2 years practical work experience
• JD- preferred, but will consider paralegals or those with other legal background and industry experience
• Contracts/translation of contracts, copyrights, or royalties experience desired
• Translation of legal terminology from to English
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Fluency in both verbal and written
• Ability to translate into English
• Microsoft Office
• Comfortable learning new systems/software
