Job Description

The UMG Global Financial team is responsible for: the consolidation of the global operating company results under IFRS and UMG accounting standards; communicating the UMG results externally to the corporate shareholder; the review and analysis of the group / operating companies' financial reporting and operating results. The team also closely supports the UMG CFO and UMG Board, and provides assistance to the Heads of Finance in the operating companies. The operating results and external reporting for UMG are completed in HFM (using FDM to map and transform data into HFM from the source financial systems). Global Finance - Application Support, are responsible for the HFM and FDM environment and dependent applications. The team closely supports the wider Global Finance team in order to ensure the HFM environment (metadata, processes and controls) meet the requirements for both the external and internal reporting. The team provides support and assistance to both the Global Finance team and to end-users in the operating companies as appropriate.

The successful candidate will provide technical support and aid development of both FDMEE and HFM applications.

For this role you should have a background in finance systems development and/or support. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator. Experience of Oracle FDMEE and HFM or equivalent is essential.

Skills & Experience

Be Financial
• HFM technical development, conducting unit testing and support
• Managing FDM mapping changes and alignment across multiple environments
• Document support processes and procedures for FDMEE as required
• Ensure all implemented changes are documented and tested, following pre-agreed processes

Be Collaborative
• As part of the Global Finance App Support team, this role will be involved in providing front line operational support for HFM and FDMEE and aiding technical development of both systems
• Support the change control process, engaging with stakeholders to understand requirements
• Collaborate with other teams to help integrate systems
• Monitor the HFM Support group mailbox, providing support to end users
• Provide ad-hoc support on Essbase reporting / OBIEE

Person Specification

Necessary
• Experience with Oracle FDM/FDMEE / HFM or equivalent
• Experienced in system support, maintenance, administration, and development
• Team player with strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form. In addition, must be able to explain/present complex ideas (especially technical) in a clear, accurate and concise form
• Strong interpersonal skills necessary to develop strong relationships with colleagues from the different territories within Universal Music
• Excellent analytical skills and experience of MS Excel or equivalent to advanced level
• Attention to detail and a drive to follow up issues until resolved
• Flexible with ability to multi-task and prioritise
• Ability to manage own workload in a pressurised environment and work to tight deadlines

Desirable
• Working knowledge of MS Office O365 / SharePoint or equivalent
• Interest in / understanding of coding – Python/VBA/Java or equivalent
• Experience in business analysis and application release management
