Finance Manager

Job Description

The European Supply Chain fulfils physical product requirements for all UMG European countries. The business operates with customers and suppliers located in multiple territories.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to manage and support the Supply Chain Finance team. They will need to be able to take ownership of and manage multiple tasks on a day to day basis, leading a team to meet the month end close deadlines, and supporting annual planning and forecasting.

They will need to be responsible for the two onshore Direct Reports and supervising the offshore WNS team. They will need to be able to resolve issues with the Supply Chain operations team, suppliers, and other areas in the business.

Skills & Experience

Be Technical
• Review and have responsibility over all Inventory/ Physical Recharges, Digital SC recharges
• Review of overheads and variable costs work performed including month end close reporting
• Responsibility over Pricing function
• Responsible for month end close P&L, BS and CF reporting packs
• Overall responsibility for HFM uploads, including resolving validations and Corp queries
• Month end close Reporting to Corporate Team (EBITDA and Cashflow)
• Responsibility for the monthly netting process
• Project work for ongoing Central Inventory Physical Projects

Be Analytical
• Preparation of Plan and Forecasts
• Responsibility for monthly Intrastat submissions, and any adhoc development or analysis required for Intrastat reporting
• Review and oversee the submission process of VAT reporting packs, as well as leading ongoing process improvement work in taxation

Be Collaborative
• Direct report over the assistant management accountant and the senior management accountant roles
• Point of contact for all territories for SC related matters
• Develop and roll-out improved Physical reporting to SC team, and key territories
• SC contact for IT/ systems development required

Be Organised
• Uniport – to oversee Uniport process including approvals and coding where required, and the management of ongoing Uniport workflows
• SAP Project/ WBS maintenance

• Strong people person, able to deal with multiple stakeholders
• Team player, good at building professional relationships and adapting a personal approach to deal with different personalities and varying levels of knowledge and skills across the organisation
• Able to manage and prioritise for the teams in an often pressurised environment
• Ability to think creatively and practically to develop and implement new processes in fast paced, unique industry
• Willing to travel, when required
