Job Description

We are currently searching for an individual to oversee release management at UMG, globally, for our Strategic Label Partners. This will be a significant coordination role between the production teams of our Strategic Partners and UMG's digital and physical supply chain teams. The core responsibility is ensuring that release metadata data is structured and set up to the highest quality levels such that each release is in compliance with internal UMG data flow, is properly setup for every distribution partner system for delivery and has the proper financial and or royalty flags in the metadata to ensure correct reporting flow. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and problem solving, interdepartmentally, all Strategic Partner metadata from release thru finance setup, including a seamless onboarding of catalog acquisitions and conscientious handling of loss of rights / offboarding.

How you'll CREATE:
• Establishes an excellent working relationship with label sales, production, Finance, Royalties and UMG supply chain
• Partners with digital and physical operations teams, attends their staff meetings and keeps apprised and in compliance with their global standards, tools and communications.
• Facilitates the onboarding and off boarding of commercial partner deals into UMG across all relevant departments
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of the end to end workflow from production, rights, supply chain, label sales, finance and royalties to review and provide oversight on the end to end release setup including metadata and lifecycle management going into UMG systems, ensuring proper quality assurance for data and code entries
• Ensure all embargos and rush releases are successfully executed
• Validate each step is correct from Atlas to Finance and Royalty setup and ensure that metadata is propagated properly (knowledge and understanding of R2 and GRS essential)
• Work with supply chain and Commercial Partnerships release administration team to ensure titles are setup properly for delivery to account partners including
• Complete store checks (ensure v, c, p lines, artwork is proper)
• Respond to and effectively trouble shoot systems and delivery issues as they arise
• Diagnose and facilitate the resolution of rights or repertoire issues resulting in financial/royalty reporting errors
• Regular QA review of all international financial metadata setup in global tables and participation tables
• Manage project team to cleanse existing repertoire and rights for all 3rd party labels

• Strong relationship and customer service skills to liaise properly with respective label partner and supply chain
• Strong in-depth understanding of systems dependencies and workflows
• Strong understanding of methodology and workflows related to account partner release delivery process and metadata
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent and proven problem solving and follow-through skills, open to learn and be flexible
• Ability to multi-task and work in high paced environment with a variety of personalities
• Experience in managing external teams and projects
• Minimum 5+ years in supply chain, supply chain systems management, or other digital systems experience
• Minimum 5+ years in client services or partner relationship management
• Experience managing and directing a team, whether internal or external
• Proven experience in great problem-solving success
• BA, 4- year college or equivalent education
