VMG is hiring for a Director Finance. This position reports to the VP Accounting & Finance, and will be based at our Beverly Hills office (interim office). This role works in office 3-4 days a week.
How you'll CREATE:
• Manage the monthly financial close in coordination with Central Accounting Services (CAS), including review of results, working with CAS & Corporate Finance to resolve issues, and providing supporting information / schedules where necessary.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Work with the CFO and VP, Finance to coordinate & oversee the preparation of the annual plan, corporate forecasts, and variance analysis for Corporate and Business Unit management.
• Develop executive presentations in support of Actuals, Forecast and Plan in conjunction with Global team.
• Create, enhance and modify models as needed.
• Collect, analyze, and report key performance indicators and highlight trends in margin, artist investment and cash flow.
• Support Financial Operations (Accounts Payable), including review / approval of vendor information, invoices, expenses & rush requests.
• Develop reporting and analyses to support decision-making for management and 3rd parties.
• Special projects as required, including working with other departments across UMG & external partners.
Bring your VIBE:
• BA in Finance or Accounting.
• Music industry experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in FP&A and accounting roles.
• Hyperion Financial Management/SmartView Reporting, SAP and BPC planning financial application experience/knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office products including advance skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must possess apolitical experience with monthly close, forecasting, expenses.
• Great organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize based on evolving workload.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to relay information to executives and management, while being sensitive to confidential information.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, including adaptability, personal effectiveness, and the ability to establish quick rapport.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and effectively follow through under pressure and/or tight deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP required; CPA experience preferred.
